Mário José de Magalhães Macedo

Mr. Mário Macedo is a retired Navy Engineer with a degree in Mechanics and a degree in Safety. He is partner and a senior consultant in Matriz de Risco – Consulting and Services in Industrial Safety, LLC.

Mr. Macedo is an IAEM – International Association of Emergency Managers and NFPA – National Fire Protection Association member a member and vice-president of Civil Protection Studies and Intervention Centre (CEIPC) and is an invited Specialist Teacher in High Institute for the Sciences of Information and Administration (ISCIA) and in the High Institute for Science and Education (ISEC).

Mr. Mário Macedo curriculum includes the leading of several risk assessment studies applying Preliminary Hazard Analysis, What-if, HAZOP, SIL and LOPA methodologies and scenario modelling for process industries including chemical industries, petrochemical industries, power plants and, mainly, Seveso Directive establishments.

João Carlos Salema Soares

Mr. Soares is a retired Navy Engineer with a degree in Mechanics and a degree in Safety. He is partner and a senior consultant in Matriz de Risco – Consulting and Services in Industrial Safety, LLC.

Mr. Soares is a Civil Protection Studies and Intervention Centre (CEIPC) member and has in its curriculum several risk assessment studies applying Preliminary Hazard Analysis, What-if, HAZOP, SIL and LOPA methodologies and scenario modelling for process industries including chemical industries, petrochemical industries, power plants and, mainly, Seveso Directive establishments where has a large experience in the organization of all the necessary documentation and requirements applicable to the involved establishments.
